Happy Half Birthday to Nicholas!

I can't believe Nicholas is 5 1/2 today! He has been giddy with excitement because this year, he got to celebrate it with his class. Last year, we celebrated his actual birthday a few days late during the first week of school, but his teachers this year suggested celebrating his half birthday. We're all about half birthdays in our house, so we thought it was a great idea!

Nicholas chose "Lost in the Woods" as his book to have read to his classmates. Tom was able to get away from the office to join us, and Nicholas wanted him to be the designated reader. Charlotte looks uninterested, but she was very proud to sit up front next to Nicholas.

Smile, Charlotte! Nicholas loved the 5 1/2 crown his teachers made.

Cupcakes with soccer ball, football and basketball rings on top. Yum!

Serious bling.

After snack it was time for Letter-cise. Charlotte (slowest eater ever) was still eating her cupcake and Nicholas kept coming over to check on her. Such a sweet big brother!

After our school celebration, Nicholas chose Mi Ranchito for lunch. The best taco, rice and beans in town! (and the best chips by far)

Happy, happy half birthday Mr. Nicholas!

So good you are back! Yea. What a fun celebration. Charlotte looks so big I thought she was a student at first.
