Here he is in bed with Glinda the good witch. More about that in another post... (These pictures are from my phone. How did I forget the camera?? Oh ya, it was 6am!!) At 7:30, the nurses came by with his wagon. They transport the children to the OR in cute little wagons. While he was in surgery, the nurse warned us that most kids are super grumpy when they come out of the anesthesia, and some are inconsolably crying. We didn't know what to expect. Turns out, he tolerated the anesthesia perfectly. The nurse asked him how he was doing, and he said "Great!" in his normal way. He then got to eat Teddy Grahams (cookies for breakfast??) and apple juice. Straight-up, undiluted apple juice. He was in heaven. We were out of there by 9am, though Nicholas would have been happy to stay there all day. Instead we rested at home (watched 2 movies!) then went to his class picnic at school this evening. He really was no worse for the wear. We're happy for the swift recovery!
