Peafowl Hunt

As the weather was so nice today, we hit the zoo after nap time for a quick visit.

It started out well...

Our second sighting of baby camels this year. They're so fuzzy and cute!

As opposed to the adult camels who are losing their winter coats. Yikes.

The live gorillas were nowhere to be found, but we did find this one instead.

And then we started the hunt...for peafowl. While I was in Oregon, Tom took the kids to the zoo, and all I heard about was how cool the peacock was that they found. So we went looking. And we found them! Nicholas did not actually pet this peahen. But he really wanted to.

Then we found this beauty! We hung out and watched it for a good 5 minutes as it foraged around next to our path.

And look. Our visit ended well too. Those are "nose kisses" from Nicholas. A big favorite of his these days.

You can't ask for more than great weather, great behavior, great family time....and peacocks.
