My spunky, sweet girl is 6 1/2 today. 6 1/2 going on 14. Her request? Mint chocolate chip ice cream cake. Hmmm... They don't sell ice cream cakes, or mint chocolate chip ice cream, or chocolate chips here. This is a tall order.
But I found some Stracciatella gelato, thawed it a bit and mixed with peppermint extract, baked a batch of (thank you, Tom for the importing) Ghiradelli brownies, and voila.
Put it together to make a cake.
How worth it is she??
